THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE

Why do you think it’s called a ‘Dream’ silly?

What is the American Dream? How does one realize that dream? What are the signs that one has achieved them?

Here is the formula that’s been downloaded into our brains and psyche during my lifetime.

1st step: Get an Education 🎓

2nd step: ‘Invest’ in a House 🏡

3rd step: Buy a Car 🚕

Guaranteed Result: Advantages & Ability to move up the ‘Ladder’, ‘Middle’ Class Status, Success Symbol, Financial Security, Good Health, Cute Babies, and Lot’s of Nice Stuff 👜👛👞👢👟👠💍💄👗👔

Let’s start with the Official Definition of the American ‘Dream’

The belief that anyone, can attain success in a society where upward mobility is possible for everyone. The American dream is achieved through sacrifice, risk-taking, and hard work, not by chance. Both native-born Americans and American immigrants pursue and can achieve the American dream.

Now that we’ve defined the dream and provided the formula for achievement, let’s talk about how achievement has changed over the last generation or two.

 🎓Education

A college Education, which used to be free, or paid off with a student’s summer job, now requires DEBT  in the form of a student Loans for the Wage class. However, the Investor class can still write a check for tuition, which they do. This DEBT, PRIVATE OR FEDERAL, which will likely take OVER 20 YEARS to pay off, is nondischargeable, thus literally enslaving the Wage class to our government. [I won’t even get into the part where graduates have been paying for bogus degrees and not actually been able to attain ‘real’ jobs since 2008, for now.]

🏠 Homes

Home ‘ownership’ is considered to be the essence of achieving the American Dream. Purchasing a home used to be so affordable, that “Middle” class parents could actually gift homes to their kids as a WEDDING PRESENT. And if your parents weren’t as generous, you could have paid off the home yourself in 10 years or so, with ONE income, from a regular | schmegular | degular job. But now, home ‘ownership’ for the Wage class is achieved by taking on a DEBT instrument called a Mortgage, that is to be paid off over the course of up to 40 YEARS!

40 YEARS THO? 40? How can that be considered affordable? How Sway? HOW SWAY? [Yes I’m yelling at you, but it’s with love] Why are we signing up to be slaves and calling it an investment? AN INVESTMENT BRUH? REALLY? An investment of what? An investment for who? [More to come on this topic in a separate blog post.]

🚗 Car

Car ‘ownership’, which used to be something that you could write a check for, now requires DEBT in the form of a car loan (high-interest loan for most) which is likely to be paid off over 3 to 6 YEARS. THREE TO SIX YEARS FOR A DEPRECIATING ASSET, USING A LOAN THAT WILL HAVE YOU UNDERWATER AS SOON AS YOU DRIVE OFF THE LOT FAM. SIX YEARS? HOW IS THAT OK? [If it is not repossessed during a temporary financial hardship caused by the Investor class. I will get into that later]

Have you ever heard the saying that “DEBT is the currency of SLAVES”?

Have you thought about why it is that everything that we are told is required to achieve the “American Dream” requires you to saddle up with a ton of DEBT? Like crushing debt? Have you thought about the fact that this DEBT is always tied to a “Financial Crisis” [Mortgage Crisis, Car Loan Crisis, Student Loan Crisis] Why are we still buying into this NIGHTMARE scenario masquerading as a so-called DREAM?  Think about it. Hard.

And how about how easy it is for people to lose their Homes, Cars, and Wages when we default on the LOANS, usually for reasons that are not in our control?

Or how easy it is to get a degree that is worthless? [More to come on worthless degrees.]

Or how easy it is to have your car repossessed and resold without getting your “equity” back?

How about the fact that the value of your home, which is the biggest ‘asset’ for the Wage class, is dependent on the ‘child-like temperament’ of Wall Street players? [Wall Street Players = Predators who could care less how their actions impact you and say bs like GREED IS GOOD] Isn’t all of this highly problematic? Like mad problematic? Why are YOU still subscribing to these BS Notions? When do you plan on waking up from this dream?

Let’s start to find a way out right now before it’s too late.
